Katherine Egan

Katherine Egan is currently enrolled in her third year at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing a major in Quantitative Biology and a minor in Asian Studies. Growing up in Singapore, Katherine traveled to many emerging markets and saw firsthand the impact of poor healthcare which led to her developing an interest in global health and equitable healthcare. Her studies and work in a lab studying mitosis and the behaviors of microtubules, actin and n-cadherin fostered an interest in medicine and pharmaceuticals.

After meeting Dr. Dhiren Thakker and learning about Med Aditus, Katherine was drawn to the mission of the company and found her passion for helping others through healthcare and medicine reflected by everyone on the team.

At UNC, Katherine is an officer for TriBeta National Biological Honor Society, a society dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending the boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. In her free time, Katherine is an avid Tar Heel sports fan and lover of dance.
