She interned in two pharmacy research labs in Seoul, South Korea and is currently an undergraduate research assistant in the Auditory Physiology and Biophysics lab at the UNC School of Medicine.
Kay has a passion for travel. Throughout her time abroad, she has seen the vast disparities in quality and effectiveness of healthcare systems. For many years, she has wanted to help improve access to healthcare. She hopes to have a career that will combine her interests in pharmaceuticals and public health. When Kay met Dr. Dhiren Thakker at a UNC Global networking event, she knew she wanted to learn more about his post-retirement plans. As they continued to talk, it became evident that Med Aditus was a perfect example of addressing public health needs through a pharmaceutical lens. Kay is excited to be interning at an organization where everyone is dedicated to promoting access to quality healthcare.
