Ms. Lauren Frank is responsible for identifying and coordinating the preparation and submission of funding proposals to foundations, government agencies, and private sector establishments. Lauren works closely with the leadership to operationalize initiatives and manage projects.

Lauren’s passion for global health equity was ignited while working at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Between the Office of Entrepreneurial Development and Global Engagement and the Office of Research, she gleaned a unique perspective on how pharmaceutical research and education intersects with patient care. Lauren coordinated efforts of a variety of School and University resources to maximize the impact and outcomes of the School’s research enterprise and oversaw projects relating to the strategic initiatives thereof. Working closely with faculty and administrators, she assisted in the streamlining of faculty entrepreneurship opportunities on campus while ensuring research, entrepreneurial development, and global engagement operations were in compliance with university and government policies and regulations.

She served on a number of committees, including Global Healthcare, Education, Leadership and Research in Pharmacy (HELPRx), the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy Entrepreneurship Student Ambassadors, and the UNC Commercialization Task Force. Lauren greatly valued her time in the Office of Organizational Diversity and Inclusion where she worked to tell the stories of students with unique backgrounds, emphasizing that the diversity of the healthcare workforce starts with broad inclusion in education. Prior to this, Lauren worked as a lead paralegal, Office Manager and Executive Administrator at leading law firms in Queensland, Australia, Washington, D.C., and Chicago, Illinois. Lauren has Environmental Studies (multi-disciplinary) from Vassar College, New York.
